Alan Sanders-Clarke has had a life-long love of Cornwall and all things Cornish. There isn't a corner of Cornwall that Alan, his wife Sue, and their two small dogs (Tilly and India) haven't explored.

Alan has two daughters who, just like Georgia and Olivia in the story, are very close in age. The only difference is that his daughters are now grown women – this photo was taken in about 1994!

Alan is a prolific writer and claims to have never  experienced writer's block. He has also written a collection of rather dark stories for adults, and these are currently in development. The stories are set in Cornwall and explore various legends, historical events and spooky places. With titles such as 'Bones Barn',  'The Pillbox', 'Firefly', 'The Lead Coffin', 'Unrequited', 'Roadkill', 'The Mermaid', 'The Sennen Ghost', 'Dance on the Sabbath' and 'The Clooty Tree', amongst others, they are sure to capture your imagination. Two of these short stories – 'Bones Barn' and 'The Pillbox' – have already been made into short films.

Alan is currently working on a gothic horror trilogy for adults which is called 'Gallows Tree Hall' and is set in West Cornwall. Writing of all three books is nearly complete, and although the story is a dark and gripping read, there's also plenty of humour woven into the pages.
